  1. It's a barge, yet you keep calling it a boat in the title and description… Why do you do stupid things like that?

  2. Climate change is real people. This is happening because the ice bergs are melting from increasing temperatures. #savethepolarbears

  3. I was there several times as a kid. If I'm not mistaken one of the stranded men on that barge was so terrified that his hair turned white overnite. Maybe that was just Niagara legend but I've thought of the story over the years. Niagara on the Canadian side is prettier. Just sayin'.

  4. It is bound to happen. I am not sure if either the American or Canadian government can save the vessel or most of it for a museum or not but then again, it may be to risky. It's one of the situations where consideration should be done but regardless what occurs, it will still be a big part of the falls history.

  5. This is truly shocking and breaking news, thank you. The fact that a rusting, manmade object sitting in a current eventually came loose is astonishing. But can we get more orange man bad, please?

  6. So if someone dumps tires into a river its pollution, someone dumps an entire barge in a river and its "historic". Get rid of it, who wants to look at a rusted heap of crap anyway?

  7. Boat shell survives 100 years in raging white waters… Wow… They really don't make them like they used to… Nothing made today would survive 100 years

  8. i've visited the falls my entire life and i've never even noticed this…

the only concern is making sure there aren't any little boat tours going on when this thing does fall over

  9. "This just gives you a sense of the power of Niagara Falls"

It took over a hundred years for it to move pivot a boat 150 ft.

  10. The falls usually run at 1/4 power except when heavy rainfall then power company opens falls to full throttle – this full throttle is prob what dislodged the ship.

  11. Wow! Can they get this boat out of the water and put into a museum as a piece of history? And if so what country would it belong to?

  12. I've lived a half hour away from the falls in Buffalo my entire life. How did I not know about this boat. I've been to the falls on both sides so many times.

  13. Scomething tell's me they could just lift this thing up with a chinook or 2. It's not stuck, it's abandoned and now a land mark.

  14. Soo….who's gonna own the boat when it falls? Im sure museums want it. Who's willing to pay for it? How much? and Who is it paid to?

  15. “Gives you a sense of the power of the river here”….uhhh the river hasnt moved it for 101yrs 🧐. Aint that powerful
