Turkey’s Syria-offensive imminent as talks with Russia fail – TV7 Israel News 19.02.20

Shalom and good evening, this is TV7 Israel
News broadcast to you from Jerusalem; And in today’s top stories;
Syrian regime forces, backed by Iranian-proxies and Russian air support, continue to make
gains in the war-torn country’s northwestern Idlib region – triggering Turkish president
Recep Tayyip Erdogan to declare that a counteroffensive is imminent. The IDF Coordinator for Government Activities
in the Territories, also known by its acronym COGAT, alleviated humanitarian restrictions
that were previously imposed on the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip, in response to an apparent cessation
of terror related incidents from the Palestinian enclave in recent days. With 12 days remaining before Israelis will
flood the polling stations throughout the Jewish State, in a third attempt to break
the persisting political deadlock in Jerusalem; The Israeli Justice Ministry announced the
date for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s trial. First ballots were cast today for Jerusalem’s
23rd Parliamentary elections by Israeli diplomats that are stationed overseas. The first ballot was cast by Israel’s Ambassador
in Wellington, New Zealand. And while the majority of Israel’s 6.3 million
eligible voters will have to wait until March 2nd before they can cast their ballots; some
5,200 Israelis that serve the Jewish State oversees, are voting today between 8 a.m.
to 9 p.m. respective of their local time-zone. Meanwhile;
With 12 days remaining before Israelis will flood the polling stations throughout the
Jewish State, in a third attempt to break the presiding political deadlock in Jerusalem;
A Justice Ministry spokesperson announced that the date for Prime Minister Benjamin
Netanyahu’s trial has been set for 3 PM on the 17th of March, which merely two weeks
after the election and just one day after the new Israeli parliament, or Knesset in
Hebrew, is scheduled to be sworn-in. According to local media reports, Netanyahu
– who may be granted the mandate to try and form a long-coveted coalition – will
be obliged to attend a first court session, in which the indictment will be formally read
into record. During the scheduled court session, Netanyahu
will forced to sit in the defendant’s dock for the duration of the session. It is important to mention that this is the
first time in Israel’s 71-year history that a sitting Prime Minister has been indicted;
and if elected once again on March 2nd – also a first time in Israel’s history that a
serving Premier undergoes trial proceedings. This in contrast to former Prime Minister
Ehud Olmert, who resigned before the charges could be brought against him, which ultimately
led to his imprisonment. Turning now to Israel’s southern front,
where; The IDF Coordinator for Government Activities
in the Territories, also known by its acronym COGAT, alleviated restrictions that were previously
imposed on the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip. In response to a TV7 inquiry regarding the
latest developments vis-à-vis the Islamist plagued territory, COGAT informed us that
“In light of the relative quiet in the Gaza Strip in recent days, and the cessation of
launchings of balloons rigged with explosives; it has been decided – following a security
consultation – to restore civilian measures that were halted last weekend.” The Israeli measures include extending the
fishing zone off Gaza’s Mediterranean coast back to 15 nautical miles and the immediate
addition of 2,000 entry permits for Gazan Palestinians, who will be allowed to work
in Israel. It is important to highlight that the latter
raises the total number of work permits for Gazan Palestinians to an unprecedented 7,000,
since Hamas took control of the territory. COGAT underscored in its written response,
that Israel’s future policy will be decided upon in causality with the actions on the
field. It further reiterated that the Islamist “Hamas
bears full responsibility to any actions that emanate from the Gaza Strip,” which it controls. Turning now to Israel’s northern neighbor,
Syria – where; Syrian regime forces, backed by Iranian-proxies
and Russian air support, continue to make gains in the war-torn country’s northwestern
Idlib region. Dozens of villages and towns in the area of
Aleppo were successfully captured by the Syrian army, as part of what a Syrian field officer
insisted was a “precise and qualitative” operation. ; “We are now in the vicinity of the Lairamoun
roundabout, which we recently captured and the situation is perfect. The operation was directed at the western
and northwestern countryside of Aleppo to salvage the provincial capital of Aleppo from
the rebels’ shelling. The operation aimed at securing the M5 road
connecting Aleppo with the capital Damascus as well as the road linking the northwestern
countryside of Aleppo with the provincial capital.” / “The road has been secured and it’s now
safe from the provincial capital of Aleppo toward the towns of Nubbul and Zahra in northwestern
Aleppo.” The successful Russian-led regime offensive
in northwestern Syria continues to infuriate Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The Turkish leader underscored his frustration
with Moscow this morning, emphasizing that talks with Russian officials have not yet
reached Ankara’s desired results. “We are entering the last days for the (Syrian)
regime to stop its hostility in Idlib. We are making our final warnings. Unfortunately, we have not yet reached the
desired results in talks held in our country, in Russia and in the field.” The Turkish President further declared, in
an address to his ruling AK party in Ankara, that Turkey’s military counteroffensive
could come at any moment; while alluding to the fact that neither the Syrian regime, nor
its backers Russia and Iran, comprehend Turkey’s determination for northwestern Syria. “Even though the talks will continue, it is
true that we are far from meeting our demands at the table. Turkey has made every preparation to carry
out its own operational plans. Like every operation we carried out, I say
that we can come at any point one night.” / “In other words, the Idlib offensive is
only a matter of time. We will not leave Idlib to the (Syrian) regime,
which does not understand our country’s determination, and to those encouraging it (Iran and Russia).” In response to President Erdogan’s remarks;
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov confirmed this morning that talks between the Russian
and Turkish delegations have failed. Speaking alongside visiting Jordanian Foreign
Minister Ayman Safadi in Moscow; Lavrov emphasized the importance of implementing the agreements
that were reached between Presidents Putin and Erdogan last month, regarding Syria’s
Idlib. “As for the results of the Russian-Turkish
talks held in Moscow yesterday and the day before yesterday – yes, we failed to reach
a final decision on how to implement the agreements between Presidents Putin and Erdogan regarding
Idlib. We did not make any new demands; we believe
it is necessary to implement what our leaders agreed about.” Moscow’s top diplomat also seized the opportunity
to highlight the legitimacy of the Russian-led offensive in northwestern Syria. “Provocations from the Idlib zone, shellfire
attacks on the Syrian armed forces positions, civilian objects, Russian airbase Khmeimim,
are going on.” / “Naturally, the Syrian armed forces, upholding
its commitment to the original agreements on Idlib, including ceasefire agreement, react
to these unacceptable provocations, and we support them in that.” Meanwhile in the United States;
U.S. President Donald Trump reacted to a reporter’s question about his phone conversation with
his Turkish counterpart on Saturday; which focused on the latest developments vis-à-vis
Syria. “I had a very good conversation with Turkish
President (Tayyip) Erdogan. I respect him. We have a very good relationship. I guess I agree, he’s a tough guy, but we
have a very good relationship. I seem to do better with tough people. But the fact is, he’s fight on Idlib (Syria). He doesn’t want people to be killed by the
thousands and hundreds of thousands. And he called me about that and other reasons. But we spoke about Idlib, and we’re working
together on seeing what could be done.” For more information on Israel and its region

Russia/Syria/Iran should destroy/kill the aggressor/illegal occupier Turkey who want to divide the Syrian land to occupy Idlib same with his master ,US staying in deir ezzor selling illegally the oil to turkey/israel illegally taking the golan height with huge natural resources. These groups are doing same what they did in Yugoslavia were divided into many states.

  5. stay with benjamin…dont trust the opponent they might be sponsored by the enemy….natanyahu is a good man….long live ESRAEL

  6. This trial is a sham and a shame in the nation of Israel. Prime Minister Netanyahu has done nothing wrong….I hope the Justice Department will come to its senses and not waste public money on a leftist attempt to oust the Prime Minister !

  7. Israel gives Gaza every opportunity to prosper…how long will this " peace" last ? Give it a week… but Hashem is in control and all glory to Him if it lasts longer! Arabs need to stand up against the corrupt PA leadership for the sake of their own safety and future hopes for a better life!

  8. Erdogan attacks Russians in Syria. Russians from their territory attack Turkey. The fifth paragraph of the NATO charter obliges NATO to attack Russia.

Both world wars had begun with less foundation before.

  10. Oh LORD GOD ALMIGHTY please x3 stretch out YOUR SOVEREIGN HAND and declare mercy and peace over YOUR covenent NATION.🙏🙏🙏

  11. We Dont want War as Turkey
    We Dont want refugees
We Dont want death of childs civilians
    We armed some rebel groups
But they havent a weapon to defend their childs they called these groups as terrorist Syria president Essad commited those crimes and still in charge unbelievably

  12. One can't trust any of these near and middle east folks! Not one of them! They terrorize and murder each other since thousands of years, it is obviously the only consistant and sustainable cultural inheritance they have! It will never change!

  13. The Russian target for a previous Mediterranean port with 500000 dead and millions of refugees has not yet been brought to international tribune for trial! Only Israel's justified actions become a matter of international debate everyday !

    ☡POINT🔜 OF

  15. Tell President of Turkey to BACK OFF when it comes to Israel. Israel definitely doesn't need Turkey. What the President can do is to come to Gaza and take all the Arabs to his country and leave Israel alone.

  16. TIME LINE 9:42……President Trump; SYRIA belongs to the Syrian people. The Sons of YAKOV / ISRAEL, were born from our Syrian mothers…..Leah, Rachel, Bilhah, and Zilpah. We shall continue to pray for our beloved brothers and sisters of SYRIA. Let THE UNITED STATES be a blessing to the SYRIAN people. Amen.

  17. People of Israel, pay attention to what is going on in these trials against your PM. Look what the liberals did to Trump for 3 years. Its no different than what is going on in Israel. If they get one more liberal than conservative vote he will be guilty. They don't care if he is innocent or not. They just want him out of the way of their liberal agenda. Vote conservative and save your country, liberal and the people loose, then the EU calls the shots in Israel.

  18. Okay let's recap recent history. 4 months ago Erdogan threatened to open gates and flood Europe with 3.6 million Syrians and threatens US troops buffers between Turkish and Kurdish forces. Turkey sent troops to Lybia in support of Putin's allies. Turkey agreed to buy Russian S-400 antiaircraft weapons system, thus being kicked out of F-35 program… Obviously Erdogan's military purge has removed anyone with a brain cell. Putin is playing on this fact. Who will be there when Russia spanks Turkey's military HARD?!?! NOT NATO!!!

  19. According to "The Times" – "PMC Wagner" is fighting the opposition of Sudan, that is, on the side of the government, which the United Nations proclaimed as a terrorist. President Vladimir Putin seems intent on causing grievous harm to international peace and stability. Russia has invaded its neighbours Georgia and Ukraine, it supports the murderous regime of Bashar al-Assad and Afghanistan, and it is engaged in active information warfare against Western democracies, including meddling in the 2016 United States elections. Throughout the civil war in Syria, Russia has strengthened its backing for the regimes in Damascus and Teheran, which supporting terrorism, and their ally Hezbollah, an officially designated terrorist group. Russia has intervened more directly in Afghanistan, shipping arms to the Taliban. And the Kremlin has methodically pursued its enemies overseas, ordering a series of assassination attempts in Europe, Turkey and the Middle East. Russian spies have been convicted of or accused of murdering suspected Islamist extremists in Dubai, Qatar and Turkey. Russian duplicity began to surface. In the mid-2000s, the CIA learned that Russia had given its allies in Central Asia a database of suspected extremists that included the names of some CIA undercover officers. When CIA officers showed up in certain countries at the airport, they were handcuffed because they popped up on the list as terrorists.

  20. Erdogan is about ignite WW3! He has so

  30. Translated from Turkish to English with google. Sry for bad engilish.
Since forming one-sided perception of news related to Turkey. There are still compassionate people in the world. The country that saved Somalia from hunger, the country that gave free aid without exploiting Africa? Which country is the biggest aid to the poor in the world? If you see that you understand Turkey then. Turkey next to the oppressed. the prize does not exist in this world. It's on the day of the account. Greetings to believers

  31. Turkey needs to know NATO will not be there for you because you attacked Syria / Kurds . NATO countries come to your aid when you are attacked not when you attack another country. Turkey also sat back for years taking dirty ISIS oil and helping ISIS by letting new ISIS recruits go back and forth across their border, use their airport. Lots of illegal trading with ISIS and Turkey made money when Kurds were dying fighting ISIS for the world. Turkey helped prolong the ISIS regime for years now they want to help themselves in Syria. Kurds are not terrorists they are very brave men and women who fought ISIS for us, 11,000 died which is a lot to ask any small minority to do. We can never thank those Kurds enough. Trump is a lying shithead for turning his back on these brave and strong people and shame on Turkey. Maybe with Russian air support the kurds will kick your ass back 40km into Turkey and stay.

  34. Taking on putin directly or indirectly, would be very costly for turkey ! Putin has the military muscle to see this through its logical conclusion !

  36. If Turkey as a NATO member attacks Russia or Syria first, NATO is absolved from coming to their defense if they bite off more than they can chew — Putin knows it and Erdogan should know it. It will be interesting to say the least.

  37. Never trust Arabs and Turks. If they treat you good be careful they basically want to take advantage of you. It will make Them closer to United States

  39. Erdogan/Turkey Gog/Magog is gathering a large army now. Expect Syria to be a diversion with an invasion of Israel the main objective. This army will suffer a humiliating defeat with 5 of every 6 soldiers killed because God defends Israel.

  40. Give Piece a good Chance we all Die any way try Being Nice 👍🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🤔🇬🇧🥰 You. Might surprise😘😘😘😘♥️✅👍👍👍👍👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

  41. (2.40) O children of Israel! call to mind My favor which I bestowed on you and be faithful to (your) covenant with Me, I will fulfill (My) covenant with you; and of Me, Me alone, should you be afraid.

(2.47) O children of Israel! call to mind My favor which I bestowed on you and that I made you excel the nations.

(2.62) Surely those who believe, and those who are Jews, and the Christians, and the Sabians, whoever believes in Allah and the Last day and does good, they shall have their reward from their Lord, and there is no fear for them, nor shall they grieve.

(2.83) And when We made a covenant with the children of Israel: You shall not serve any but Allah and (you shall do) good to (your) parents, and to the near of kin and to the orphans and the needy, and you shall speak to men good words and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate. Then you turned back except a few of you and (now too) you turn aside.

(2.88) And they say: Our hearts are covered. Nay, Allah has cursed them on account of their unbelief; so little it is that they believe.

(2.98) Whoever is the enemy of Allah and His angels and His apostles and Jibreel and Meekaeel, so surely Allah is the enemy of the unbelievers.

(2.111) And they say: None shall enter the garden (or paradise) except he who is a Jew or a Christian. These are their vain desires. Say: Bring your proof if you are truthful.

(2.113) And the Jews say: The Christians do not follow anything (good) and the Christians say: The Jews do not follow anything (good) while they recite the (same) Book. Even thus say those who have no knowledge, like to what they say; so Allah shall judge between them on the day of resurrection in what they differ.

(2.120) And the Jews will not be pleased with you, nor the Christians until you follow their religion. Say: Surely Allah's guidance, that is the (true) guidance. And if you follow their desires after the knowledge that has come to you, you shall have no guardian from Allah, nor any helper.

(2.121) Those to whom We have given the Book read it as it ought to be read. These believe in it; and whoever disbelieves in it, these it is that are the losers.
