HI, EVERYBODY. I’M KATE MERRILL WITH THIS WBZ NEWS UPDATE. POLICE WILL BE AT A HIGH SCHOOL TODAY AFTER THERE WAS A GUN THREAT. THERE WAS AN INCIDENT BETWEEN TWO STUDENTS ON FRIDAY. POLICE REMOVED ONE OF THEM FROM SCHOOL FROM RUMORS CIRCULATING THAT A STUDENT WAS GOING TO BRING A GUN TO SCHOOL TODAY. THEY SAID BRAINTREE POLICE ARE CONFIDENT THERE IS NO RISK. POLICE WILL BE AT SCHOOL TODAY JUST AS A PRECAUTION. LAWRENCE POLICE SAY THEY HAVE IDENTIFIED A DRIVER IN A HIT- AND-RUN CRASH THAT INJURED A WOMAN. POLICE ARE NOT RELEASING THE DRIVERS NAME. JANET ROSE IS IN CRITICAL CONDITION AFTER SHE WAS HIT SATURDAY NIGHT ON AMES PERRY STREET. WE WILL BRING YOU MORE INFORMATION AS SOON AS WE GET IT.
